In 2012 Martina published her first book through a well know publishing company. This company charged for so many things. Every step of the way there was a cost to be paid, $2000 for this and $1500 for that. By the time Martina's book was published she had already forked over $5000 to that publishing company. And if that was not enough, in order to get printed copies of her own book which was only about 100 pages, Martina had to pay $8.00 per copy, And when her book sold in the market places like Amazon or Barnes & Noble, the publishing company received 70% and Martina only received 30% of her own mental property. After a year, which was the time she had to wait to ask for her manuscript back, Martina did just that, got her manuscript released back to herself. 

Martina went on a mission to find out how to publish her own book. Once she had accomplish her goal, she decided to start her own publishing company so that other authors would never be taken advantage of. So she learned, planned and executed. Martina was on her way to becoming a publisher. 

The opportunity to publish others did not come right away. Martina's first time working with an author was when her pastor wrote a book. Martina was asked to edit the manuscript.  Not only did she edit the book, but Martina formatted it beautifully and sent her pastor back a professional manuscript that was ready for print.  Her pastor said, "You should start your own publishing company." Martina heard those words  and knew this was the time to launch the company because she had her pastor's blessing.  This company started out as "InTouch With Martina Mitchell" named after the founder and CEO. but Martina thought it best to change the name to "InTouch With The Kingdom," because she wanted to align her business to her belief and the church she served.
